Our Work
At Numina, we focus on leadership from the inside out. There are three tenets that guide all of our work: courage to look within, making the pact and leading out loud.

 |
Courage to look within
Exploring the territory of thought and feeling within us. Does this take courage? For many -- yes, for others, it might be the easiest of the three. It requires of us time and focus. Giving ourselves permission to do this often means we must put others and other pressing matters aside.

Gaze into the reflection ball -- what do you see? What do you vision beyond the present? What does your image suggest to you? What is not visible from where you stand and gaze? This process is creative and can take many forms. Through assessment, journaling, art, and discussion.

Making the pact
This is defining the touchstones that we commit to live by. Creating the promise of standing by our decisions and our desires. Remember when you had chums in school and you made a secret promise to one another? And the mystique came from the agreement "not to tell anyone." What power in that little pack! As women we need to move beyond ourselves in the workplace and in the world, and that means expanding what we call community. We must draft our "bill of rights" and then endeavor to chart our freedom. What learning will we need to engage in? What changes do we want to make and how will we make them? Who can we invite into the pack that will support and hold us true to our touchstones. What muse can we find along the way?

Leading out loud
Giving voice to our talent and skills comes from putting them into practice. This is finding the fit for where and when and how our leadership can be called into the forefront and going for it. This may be in our homes, our work, our nonprofit organizations, in our government, civic and political arenas and our educational institutions. Given globalization, the opportunities are boundless and the needs are strong for females in roles of greater influence and responsibility. Finding the skills and abilities and humor that will take us forward is learning how to lead out loud. No more "don't tell anyone." Obscurity is not a virtue. |
We invite you to look at our core offerings, which are based upon these three principles.
